While I’ll be leaning heavily on “Adam Taggart” for the next few months to make it as easy as possible for past viewers to find me, the long term brand will be….drumroll, please….

Thoughtful Money

I hope you like it. I think it captures well the essence of what my work is about, especially for someone who’s hearing it for the first time and hasn’t yet watched a video.

My first interview is now available for viewing!

If you’ve been getting the jitters (like I have) from the lack of new content, you can now get your fix.

This first interview is with Nobel Prize-winning economist Dr Michael Spence, who recently co-authored the book Permacrisis: A Plan to Fix a Fractured World with Allianz Chief Economic Advisor Mohamed El-Erian & former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Spence was also the dean of Stanford Business School when I pursued my MBA there a million years ago. So this inaugural interview for Thoughtful Money has particular personal weight for me.

Now, if you want to watch the video, I have to lay out a few ground rules first.

The new Thoughtful Money YouTube channel is in “stealth” launch right now. That means I’m not actively promoting it because I’m letting the YouTube algorithm discover my new content naturally over the coming week.

Having the algorithm know how to find your content without any outside help is of great value. So none of us wants to mess things up while it’s coming up the learning curve.

But there is a way you can watch the new Michael Spence interview right now, safely. In fact, if you follow these simple steps, you’ll actually help us in training the algorithm to our advantage:

1. Go to https://www.youtube.com/

2. Search for “Adam Taggart Thoughtful Money”

3. Look for this video thumbnail in the search results and click on it

4. Watch the video…but all the way through, if possible. Starting to play but then “skipping” the video will get us dinged with the algo.

I think you’ll really enjoy my discussion with dean Spence. He’s clearly brilliant and it felt wonderful to be back in the chair, having the privilege of engaging with a titan of economic theory.
