Simon Hunt: Holy Smokes! A Market Crash In 2024 & A Depression By 2025?
This answers the question: "How bad could things get?"
The last time I spoke with commodities expert and geopolitical analyst Simon Hunt, he predicted a rocky road ahead for the global economy.
A path that will eventually culminate in the massive pile of $trillions in global unserviceable debt going into default, causing a worldwide depression by 2025.
Since our last discussion, the markets have become a lot more optimistic, US Q3 GDP hit 4.9% and inflation has marching downwards to 3% -- all positives.
Though on the negative side, US deficits & debt balances have soared, leading economic indicators have fallen to recessionary levels, and the Middle East has been plunged into war.
How, if at all, have any of these recent developments altered his dire forecast for 2024/2025?
Well, to put it succinctly, he’s more worried than ever about a 2024 market crash, a prolonged global economic bust starting in 2025, civil unrest, and quite possibly international war. This is a pretty heavy discussion folks…
